Another chaos filled episode. All the current sports BS for the #NHLplayoffs and #NBAplayoffs. Hockey fans knew the NHL playoffs would be good but who would have thought the NBA would be this good too?
Plus Angelo tries to get Chris to play Farmville and all the unprofessional podcasting the thousands and thousands of listeners of Chaotic Sports have gotten used to.
After a shaky start to the series the Golden Knights have taken control and are getting into the heads of the San Jose Sharks. The Golden Knights beat the Sharks 6-3 stoking the flames of their burgeoning rivalry.
The game was led by Mark Stone’s first hat trick of his career finding the back of the net once in the first period and twice in the third. He had five points in total with assists on both of Paul Stastny’s goals. Max Pacioretty’s first period accounted for the sixth goal the Golden Knights scored in their win.
Although technically the Pacioretty-Stone-Stastny line is the second line they are playing like one of the elite groups in the NHL playoffs and putting fear in the hearts of Sharks fans and clearly getting in the head of San Jose Shark goaltender Martin Jones.
The best part of the second line is that in true Golden Knights tradition (yes two years is enough for it to be called a tradition) it was patched together and looks nothing like the Neal-Perron line of last year’s Stanley cup run.
Pre-season signings and trades brought Pacioretty and Stastny together and a brilliant under reported trade deadline signing added Mark Stone to the team.
The good news is that the Golden Knights are winning the series and our hall of fame goaltender is not playing at his best.
Fleury had 28 saves to finish the game but had Knights fans glued to their television screens when he gave up two goals in less than a minute making the score 5-3 and surely pausing fans on both sides of the aisle from turning off the game to start their Game of Thrones stream.
In the end Knights fans got treated to Mark Stone finishing his hat trick and a comfortable win.
The next game takes place at 7:30 PST at the T-Mobile arena on Tuesday 4/16. It will be aired on NBC Sports.
